What is it?
Hackathons, incubators of creativity, demand innovation through multidisciplinary teamwork within a 24-hour time limit. The UML ‘Hawk’-athon will focus on combining artful design with skillful implementation of technology. It will showcase the talent and inventiveness of our students and affirm our campus’s growing leadership in technology and education as shown by development of a Maker Space, an Innovation Center, and the expansion of the UMass Lowell’s Massachusetts Medical Device Development Center.
In collaboration with: the UMass Lowell Undergraduate Society of Science Students, the DifferenceMaker Program, the University Innovation Fellows, the UMass Lowell Entrepreneurial Ventures Association, and the UMass Lowell Sigma Beta Rho fraternity.
